Yemen International Telecommunications Co. (TeleYemen) was formed in 1990 as a joint company owned by Yemen's Public Telecommunication Corporation (PTC) and Cable and Wireless Plc. As the contract period expired on December 31st 2003, PTC bought out all Cable & Wireless shares and signed management contract with France Telecom. to operate TeleYemen for five years from 1st of January 2004 to 31st of December 2008 and was extended till end of June 2011.

The new managements goals are to restructure TeleYemen, develop and enhance its businesses to go on line with the International Standards.

TeleYemen offers its customers a variety of services including, direct international telephone, Dawli prepaid calling cards, Internet, Inmarsat, BGAN, VSat, leased circuits, and data transmission services.

YahClick is designed to provide satellite broadband internet to businesses and homes in rural or urban areas across Yemen. Satellite broadband connection can provide connectivity to remote areas across the country, providing access to data capabilities with speeds of up to 15Mbps.

YahClick is beamed through Yahsat’s Y1B satellite, the first satellite in the region to offer internet connectivity through Ka-band multi-spot beams, providing a greater level of overall efficiency and cost-effective broadband solutions.
