Cobranet began operations providing the market with a Fixed Broadband Wireless Service in 2003 and enjoyed a reputation as a provider which delivered to the market what it promised. However, with the quest to excel in the service and introduce better and more efficient services, Cobranet kept looking for a better technology and entered discussions with many major providers worldwide.

In May 2009, after almost two years of conducting various tests both in Nigeria and overseas, Cobranet deployed a state of art McWill Technology (Multi-carrier Wireless Information Local Loop), which is a mobile broad band access system with several core states of art technologies. The McWill System can provide High Speed Data and Voice Services to both, fixed and mobile users in NLOS (Non Line of Sight) environments. The McWill offers a large coverage, high spectrum efficiency (up to 15 Mbps/5 MHz), an efficient combination of high speed and low speed services, low cost terminals and support of high mobility applications.
