Asking informations Hi i have a project that is to provide internet network by hotspot with access code for many users between 200 to 300 and also with a small internet cafe with 35 computers i wanted to do this project in Guinea Bissau, the Isp that are there do not provide high quality that's why I need an internet network provider by satellite that cover this area As you think how much bandwidth could support for these users between 200 to 300? |

sat-www in sub-saharan Africa To whom this may concern, we are an NGO that has a number of governments as clients in Africa (at the moment: Senegal, Swaziland, Malawi, Nigeria, Namibia, Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire). We seek a stable internet connection for our clients with a bandwidth that allows for high quality video-conferencing and webinars. The usual situation is that one or two locations in industrialized countries with broad-band land-line internet would be talking to one client in Africa with a satellite-based internet connection. We would be heavily using screen-sharing. Software used: probably skype, but we’d be open to others. A fixed roof-top satellite-dish would work (we don’t need mobile systems). It’s not a problem if the dish is large. The aim is a contract between one of our clients and a satellite internet provider like you. Requirements: Band: weather independent (e.g. C-Band) Bandwidth: at least 512kbps receiving and 256kbps transmitting, better would be 1Mbps receiving 512kbps transmitting. These numbers assume that we don’t need to share bandwidth (i.e. CIR1/1). For shared bandwidth we’d need somewhat higher bandwidths. Please let us know what you have to offer. Questions: What Bandwidths does Juch-Tech offer? What would be the one-time and about running costs of different bandwidth-CIR combinations? Are running costs necessarily dependent on time or are other dependencies conceivable as well (e.g. per Data)? Is there a choice of bandwidth and if so, does the cost depend on the bandwidth? Would you be able to do the installation and setup of the hardware in Africa? Is there a possibility to upgrade to higher bandwiths or lower CIR at a later point in time and how much would that cost? Do you have the possibility to prioritize our videoconferences over other traffic even over other video-conferences (e.g. using IP prioritization not just port prioritization)? Do you offer only flat rates or also other (e.g. data-based or time-based) contracts? (esp. relevant for 1/1CIR) Best regards, Max |
