| Internet access - Farm in Oman 65km NNW of Thumrait Dear Sir, 1. We wanted to provide farm site near Thumrait (Oman) with Internet access . The use is for analysis of IoT data obtained from IoT sensors in the farm and so that it can be continually sent to the Internet and monitored globally. There are 2 farm sites situated 20km away from each other, the data from which needs to be integrated and uplinked. The location of the farm is about 65km NNW of Thumrait in Oman. The Farm 1 size is 12Ha and Farm 2 size is 24Ha (Farm 1 & 2 are 20km away) . For both field we need two same channels described above working in parallel, cause there will be 2 local servers, one for each field. The estimated Upload bw is = 768 kbit/s & Download bw = 5 Mbit/s . We will need a lower bandwidth in near future subsequent months. We use switch onsite, so provider will see us as only 1 user. The equipment we will use is Server, router & LoRaWAN base station. Connection to all equipment via command-line interface (SSH) and remote control tools. Main amount of data will be transferred for server administration. Some times there will be video conferences. This is to be used for IoT device administration on the farm growing Alfalfa crop and to be viewed on the Internet globally . The data from the IoT will be used with Business Intelligence to help us not only monitor but make decisions. 2. May need a fibre-cable/microwave/VSAT solution.
