| obtaining satellite internet We live in a rural area outside Cuenca in a community called Challuabamba. We had touch and go problems with internet than a new server became available. We paid for installation and equipment but, the service was TERRIBLE. Kept cutting in and out every few minutes. We just thought maybe satellite would be more reliable and would like to get educated on our options so that we can make an informed decision. |
| Service Greetings from Captain Franklin Acosta of the Ecuadorian Air Force, I will tell you what my requirement is, at the moment we have two aircraft that are in charge of transporting the Ecuadorian government authorities, a Falcón 7X and a Legacy 600, both have installed satellite communication systems, the Falcón aircraft has the Honeywell MCS-7120 SATCOM system with a 432 kbps swiftbroadband channel, the Legacy 600 aircraft has the COBHAM SDU-7330 dual channel swiftbroadband system but only a 432kbps channel is used. Our immediate requirement is to provide satellite internet with a higher bandwidth since the one that is currently installed does not supply the 13 passengers who are on board the aircraft and even the signal on appointments is lost. We urgently need to know if they have equipment that can improve satellite communication and also provide the liaison service.
