UltiSat Awarded Position on US Space Force P-LEO Contract

UltiSat, a global provider of advanced communications solutions, has secured a position on the new US Space Force Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (P-LEO) for Satellite Based Services contract vehicle. This contract was initiated by the US Space Force Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO) in response to the growing demand for low earth orbit satellite technology.

The P-LEO satellite constellations, which are being developed by various providers, aim to enhance global communications by offering improved resiliency, redundancy, and reliability for government missions. Compared to traditional Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO) satellites, P-LEO satellites can deliver higher data rates, lower latency, and better performance for time-sensitive applications.

UltiSat, as an authorized government integrator, currently supports two commercially available P-LEO services already in orbit. Additionally, they are evaluating two more services that are planned for launch in the coming years. With over 25 years of experience in delivering satellite, wireless, and terrestrial communications, UltiSat is well-equipped to evaluate, implement, and manage the right satellite solutions for various operating environments.

David Myers, the President and CEO of UltiSat, expressed excitement about the potential of LEO-based satellite solutions. He emphasized the importance of distinguishing marketing aspirations from mission readiness and highlighted UltiSat’s commitment to being a trusted partner in providing the most suitable satellite solutions for their customers.

UltiSat offers global end-to-end connectivity solutions and managed network services for land mobile, maritime, and airborne operations. Their portfolio includes a range of solutions leveraging satellite, terrestrial, wireless, and cloud technologies to meet the unique communication requirements of government, humanitarian-aid, and critical infrastructure markets.

UltiSat is a wholly owned subsidiary and a separate operating company of Speedcast. With a strong presence in over 120 countries, they have a proven track record in deploying solutions worldwide.
