Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has clarified that earlier news reports about Unifi Air 5G were taken from an old document. The telco stated that its current offerings are being updated and an official launch will be announced soon on the official Unifi website and social media.

Following news reports about Unifi Air 5G quietly offering unlimited 5G wireless broadband, TM has addressed the issue by stating that the information circulating originated from an older document. Unifi Air is a wireless broadband service designed for users without fibre coverage.

Currently, Unifi Air 4G is available at a cost of RM79 per month for unlimited 4G with speeds of up to 20Mbps. Customer signing up for a 24-month contract can enjoy a free 4G router.
