Iveda has partnered with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) to support the development of smart cities in Egypt and the EMEA region. Iveda holds a security certification granted by the Egyptian Military Intelligence, allowing its participation in crucial projects within Egypt. The collaboration between Iveda and AOI is in line with the Egyptian government’s plan to establish 38 new smart cities across the country, as part of a broader infrastructure strategy.

David Ly, CEO and founder of Iveda, emphasized the importance of 5G networks in supporting the multitude of devices and sensors required for true smart city status. Through their partnership with AOI, Iveda aims to provide AI-backed technology that can enhance services and improve the quality of life for residents in Egypt. The potential to scale with AOI across the EMEA region will make 5G smart city technology accessible to residents in these countries.

As cities face challenges related to population growth and resource allocation, smart city technologies powered by 5G networks are becoming transformative solutions. Major General Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics Factory, representing Major General Mukhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of AOI, expressed that the demand for innovation directly applicable to smart cities and government initiatives is rapidly increasing in the EMEA region. AOI, equipped with regional reach and expertise, found a trusted partner in Iveda who possesses the technological prowess required to drive progress. Iveda’s expertise in digital transformation and city infrastructure aligns well with the goal of scaling 5th-generation smart cities in Egypt and beyond.

In addition to advancing smart cities, the partnership also aims to localize Iveda’s technology for efficient production and delivery in the EMEA region. This collaboration is one of several recent partnerships for Iveda, including Valor Healthcare, Movement Interactive, Evergreen Aviation, and NetGain Systems. These partnerships emphasize Iveda’s commitment to bringing advanced AI and IoT technology to local governments and organizations worldwide.
