Town Urges Residents to Participate in Digital Equity Survey

Town officials are encouraging residents to take part in the Digital Equity Survey created by the Massachusetts Broadband Institute. The survey aims to enhance internet access and digital equity in the community. It can be accessed at tinyurl.com/muppxf76 until August 31.

By participating in the five-minute anonymous survey, residents can provide valuable input that will assist the state in deciding how to allocate funding and improve connectivity for all Massachusetts residents. The ultimate objective is to enable better access to education, healthcare, civic engagement, economic opportunities, and other crucial services.

Furthermore, the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission will initiate Digital Equity Planning in 13 Berkshire County communities. This initiative is part of the state-wide effort to ensure fair and affordable broadband access for those who require it.

Efforts to bridge the digital divide have become increasingly vital in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the disparities in internet access and its impact on individuals and communities. By participating in the survey, residents can contribute to creating a more equitable and inclusive digital landscape.

To participate in the survey, residents can visit the provided link before August 31. Your input will play a crucial role in shaping future investments and ensuring that all residents in Massachusetts have access to essential online services and opportunities.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and help improve digital equity in our town.
