SpaceX Collaborates with Cloudflare to Boost Starlink Internet Speed

SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, has partnered with online content delivery services provider Cloudflare to enhance the speed of its Starlink satellite internet service. According to The Information, the two companies are working together to explore ways of improving the performance of Starlink’s network of mini data centers situated across the globe. By increasing the speed, Starlink aims to further enhance its value in response to the growing demand for broadband connectivity.

Over the past two years, Starlink has gained prominence by playing a critical role in delivering online access in Ukraine. Currently, it boasts 1.5 million subscribers as of May, demonstrating its widespread appeal.

Cloudflare, known for its extensive collection of data centers in 200 cities worldwide, specializes in accelerating data transmission throughout the internet. This collaboration between SpaceX and Cloudflare is part of an ongoing effort to optimize Starlink’s performance.

Satellite-based internet services have witnessed a significant rise in recent times, with numerous providers entering the market. In addition to SpaceX’s Starlink, other notable players include Amazon’s Kuiper service and OneWeb, which enjoys backing from various companies.

As of now, representatives from SpaceX and Starlink have not provided any comments regarding the collaboration with Cloudflare.
