Prelude Launches Prelude Offline Mobile App for Data Collection in Areas with Limited Internet Connectivity

Prelude has recently released Prelude Offline, a mobile app designed to assist researchers in collecting data electronically in areas with limited to no internet connection. The app allows for data syncing to Prelude’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system when an internet connection becomes available. This offline solution eliminates the need for paper forms and provides real-time feedback for site staff during data collection in remote locations.

The challenges faced by researchers conducting studies involving farm animals, wildlife, GLP, and Non-GLP when stable internet access is unavailable are addressed by Prelude Offline. These challenges include data entry errors, manual transcription, and paper management. Once synced, the data collected electronically within the app seamlessly enters Prelude’s EDC system.

Key features and benefits of Prelude Offline include offline data collection, high-quality data with edit checks, an audit trail capturing data entry and sync times, and seamless integration with Prelude’s EDC system. The app is compatible with Android and iOS devices as well as laptops.

CEO Tommy Jackson stated, “We are excited to introduce Prelude Offline, a solution that enables researchers to capture and manage data seamlessly, regardless of location or internet connectivity. This app will help our agriculture and veterinary health partners maintain data management compliance under any conditions.”

Prelude, a life science software company founded in 2003, aims to enhance the clinical research experience and accelerate new product development in life-saving medicine and devices. Their mobile applications, including Prelude Offline, support modern data collection methods. The company prioritizes providing comprehensive support to research teams, simplifying the study building process and allowing clients to focus on their research.
