Iran’s Space Agency has revealed its plans to design and build high-precision observation satellites named ‘Pars 2’ and ‘Pars 3.’ Speaking at the launch of the space news section of the Tasnim News Agency website, the head of Iran’s Space Agency, Salariyeh, announced the commencement of the construction of these important projects.
The Pars 2 satellite aims to be an observation satellite with a 4-meter imaging precision. The design and construction of this satellite have already begun. Similarly, the Pars 3 satellite, representing the most modern and highly accurate Iranian imaging satellite, is being developed with an imaging precision of approximately 2 meters.
The inauguration ceremony for the space section of the Tasnim News Agency website, which will cover space news from Iran and around the world, is currently taking place. The event is attended by various national figures, including government spokesman Ali Bahadri Jahormi, Iran Space Organization head Hossein Salariyeh, Ministry of Defense’s Aerospace Group spokesperson Ahmad Hosseini Munes, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences head Mohammad Javad Larijani, and a group of scientists in the field of space and astronomy.
This significant development in the design and construction of high-precision observation satellites demonstrates Iran’s progress in its space program. The unveiling of these satellites is expected to be announced in the near future.
