Upcoming SpaceX Starlink Satellite Launch from Cape Canaveral

A launch window is expected to open on Saturday night for the next SpaceX Starlink internet-beaming satellite launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Skies at the Cape are forecasted to be mostly clear, with light winds. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Federal Aviation Administration advisories indicate a launch window from 7:13 to 11:44 p.m. EDT.

This upcoming launch will be the 59th orbital launch from Cape Canaveral this year, surpassing the previous record of 57 launches set in 2022. SpaceX’s successful Starlink mission on October 21 from Launch Complex 40 contributed to this record-breaking number.

The launch attempt by SpaceX is scheduled two days after the Department of Defense’s plan to launch a hypersonic missile from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station was canceled.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will be launching from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The trajectory will be southeast, and there will be no local sonic boom. The booster landing is expected to take place on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

This launch will mark another milestone for the Space Coast, as it will be the 150th orbital launch from Launch Complex 40 and the 58th launch of the year, surpassing last year’s record of 57 launches.
