The Acquisition of Inmarsat Strengthens VSAT’s Position in Growing Markets

Analysts have stated that the recent acquisition of Inmarsat by VSAT on May 31 will provide the combined company with the necessary scale to compete in growing markets. This acquisition brings a portfolio of assets that will bolster the company’s expanding opportunities.

Although the analysts are generally positive about the acquisition and the shift towards higher-margin service revenue, they have expressed concerns regarding the complications faced during the launch of ViaSat-3 Americas. These complications are expected to present significant challenges to the fixed broadband business.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the satellite, the analysts believe that it will continue to impact the company’s shares. This uncertainty may also delay future capital expenditure plans.

As of the time of writing, VSAT shares have declined by 4.8% on Wednesday, trading below the per share mark.
