T-Mobile has recently expanded its 5G coverage in Pennsylvania, ensuring that nearly 99% of the state’s residents now have access to their network. The company has implemented significant improvements, including the construction of 700 new 5G towers and service upgrades across 37,000 square miles of Pennsylvania since 2021.

These efforts are part of T-Mobile’s ongoing network enhancement strategy. As recognized by third-party experts Ookla and Opensignal, T-Mobile boasts the fastest download speeds in Pennsylvania. The upgrades will provide Keystone State customers with the ability to utilize the benefits of the 5G network, such as enhanced data speeds for seamless downloading and uploading of large files, videos, and music.

Senior Vice President of Field Engineering at T-Mobile, Edwige A. Robinson, acknowledged the positive impact of collaborative partnerships with local and state agencies and entities. Through these partnerships, the recent expansion of T-Mobile’s 5G network across Pennsylvania enables the delivery of enhanced wireless capabilities to individuals, families, and businesses, further emphasizing their commitment to improving customer experiences.

The expanded coverage and additional capacity have had a particularly positive impact on several counties in Pennsylvania. Smaller communities and rural towns in the state have also benefited from T-Mobile’s commitment to improving connectivity.

In addition to network enhancements, T-Mobile has been focused on expanding its retail presence in Pennsylvania. Between 2022 and 2023, the company opened additional retail stores, with a particular focus on smaller communities and rural areas. Currently, T-Mobile operates more than 240 retail locations in Pennsylvania, with plans to open more in the coming years.
