T-Mobile announced on Tuesday that its investments in 5G wireless service in Pennsylvania since 2021 have resulted in expanded coverage to nearly 99% of the state’s population. The company has covered over 37,000 square miles across Pennsylvania.

Counties such as Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lehigh, Northampton, and York have benefited from the enhanced coverage and increased capacity.

The expansion of T-Mobile’s 5G network in Pennsylvania is a result of collaborative partnerships with local and state agencies and entities. Edwige Robinson, the Senior Vice President of Field Engineering at T-Mobile, expressed that Pennsylvanians are now experiencing significant improvements in wireless infrastructure.

To achieve this expanded coverage, T-Mobile has added more than 700 new towers and upgraded over 3,000 existing towers over the past two years.

Furthermore, T-Mobile has announced its plans to install new towers and upgrade existing ones by the end of 2023 to further enhance capacity and data speeds.

Apart from network enhancements, T-Mobile has also opened additional retail stores in Pennsylvania between 2022 and 2023, including in smaller communities and rural towns. With more than 240 retail locations in the state, T-Mobile has plans for additional store openings in the coming years.

This expansion of 5G coverage in Pennsylvania demonstrates T-Mobile’s commitment to improving the wireless experience for individuals, families, and businesses across the state.
