Telit Cinterion, a global provider of intelligent edge solutions, has successfully completed a proof-of-concept trial of private 5G for factory automation. The trial, conducted in partnership with Nestlé Brazil, highlights the growing importance of 5G in the manufacturing industry’s Industry 4.0 transformation strategies. The trial utilized the Telit Cinterion 5G FT980-WW evaluation kit, which features the FN980 module. This module supports all major 5G frequency bands based on the 3GPP Rel. 15 standard, allowing private networks to have maximum deployment flexibility. The trial specifically focused on the use of sub-6 GHz spectrum.
