The 2023 ISPS Handa World Invitational: Purse, Field, and Other Benefits

The 2023 ISPS Handa World Invitational is set to take place as the 34th event on the European Tour schedule. The tournament will be held at Galgorm Castle and Massereene in Northern Ireland. The purse for this event is a staggering .5 million, with the winner’s share amounting to 5,000, following the standard 17 percent payout according to the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart.

The field for the ISPS Handa World Invitational includes some of the best players in the world, such as Eddie Pepperell, Victor Perez, and Alex Fitzpatrick. The final-round field will be determined after a cut is made after 36 holes, with the top 60 players and ties advancing. Additionally, there will be a 54-hole cut to the top 40 players, and those who make the cuts will receive payment for their performance.

Aside from the monetary rewards, there are other significant benefits for the players in this tournament. The winner will earn approximately 11.22 Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points based on the field strength. They will also receive a two-plus season exemption on the European Tour and berths into other key events.

Furthermore, there are 2,000 Race to Dubai points up for grabs for the full field. The winner of the tournament will earn 335 Race to Dubai points, which could contribute to their standing in the season-long Race to Dubai. The player with the most points at the end of the season will be crowned the Race to Dubai champion and receive a first-place prize.

The Race to Dubai bonus pool of €6 million will be distributed among the top eight players in the Rankings after the season concludes. This adds an extra layer of competition and incentives for the players participating in the ISPS Handa World Invitational.
