China successfully launched a new Earth observation satellite, Gaofen-12 04, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. The satellite was sent into orbit by a Long March-4C carrier rocket at 1:45 a.m. Beijing Time. It will be utilized in various fields such as land surveys, urban planning, road network design, crop yield estimation, and disaster relief.

This launch is part of the Long March series carrier rockets’ 484th flight mission. China has planned over 60 space launches for 2023, with more than 50 launches expected from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), along with other Chinese space enterprises.

In addition to this, China has achieved significant milestones in its space exploration efforts. The Mengtian lab module successfully docked with China’s Tiangong space station combination, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The Mengtian module docked with Tianhe, the space station’s core module, at its front port.

Furthermore, China also launched Wentian, the first lab module of its space station. The Wentian module serves as both a backup to the core module and a powerful scientific experiment platform.

These achievements highlight China’s commitment and progress in space exploration and technology. They are part of China’s broader efforts in advancing its space capabilities and contributing to various scientific research and applications.
