A Buffalo-based startup named Lesath International Inc. is currently seeking a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing space in Buffalo. The company is focused on the development of a rocket engine and space vehicle for lower orbit missions, catering to both defense and commercial applications.

Led by CEO Thomas Pawlak, Lesath International Inc. has assembled a team of 26 engineers and experts with experience from NASA. Pawlak himself worked in the space division for Servotronics before founding the company in 2021.

The main goal of the company is to create a full-flow staged combustion rocket engine and space vehicle that can be used for launching satellites. Pawlak envisions the engine to be highly advanced and proficient, with the capability to be reused up to 50 times.
