The US Space Systems Command (SSC) has awarded a contract for Proliferated Low Earth Orbit Satellite-Based Services (PLEO) to Capella Federal, a subsidiary of Capella Space. This contract aims to expand the availability of global imagery crucial for various missions, providing the US Space Force with round-the-clock, all-condition data.

The contract establishes Capella Federal as a pioneering commercial earth observation company, as it collaborates within an emerging governmental framework for satellite services.
