Sunil Bharti Mittal Unveils Technological Leap at India Mobile Congress

Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises and founder of Bharti Airtel, recently revealed a significant technological advancement for India during his address at the 7th edition of the India Mobile Congress. Mittal announced the availability of satellite communication technology for the country, providing coverage not only across the nation but also globally.

Mittal credited the successful collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for this achievement. Through ISRO, Bharti Enterprises was able to launch 72 satellites using two rockets GSLV Mk 3 last year. Mittal also unveiled the ground-breaking OneWeb constellation, in which Bharti holds the largest stake, expected to provide connectivity to both India and the world.

Starting next month, India will witness a new era of connectivity, as Mittal announced the establishment of a Satellite ground station in Mehsana, Gujarat. This development in satellite communication is expected to bridge the digital divide in the country, connecting even the most remote and isolated regions. It will contribute to development and transform the way communication occurs in India.

Mittal emphasized the potential of India’s digital infrastructure in accelerating the global economy. He highlighted the importance of the “JAM Trinity” concept, which stands for Jan Dhan, Aadhar, and Mobile. This concept has gained recognition worldwide and is seen as a way to overcome infrastructure challenges in countries around the world. Mittal also emphasized the significance of the “Make in India” initiative.

The India Mobile Congress serves as a platform for showcasing India’s technological advancements and facilitating discussions on the country’s digital future. Mittal’s announcement marks a pivotal moment in India’s technological landscape, bringing forth new possibilities for connectivity, communication, and progress.
