Semiconductor giant Intel has revealed plans to lay off more than 300 employees across three office campuses in California. The roles impacted by the layoffs cover various areas including AI, cloud computing, and GPUs. This includes GPU software development engineers, graphics hardware engineers, AI software engineers, and cloud software and solution engineers. The layoffs also affected a general manager and an Intel fellow, a prestigious title for technical employees. Several other roles, including marketing managers, engineering managers, and system-on-chip design engineers, were also cut.
