AT&T Launches Internet Air: A New Affordable Home Internet Service

AT&T is positioning itself to outpace its competitors, Verizon and T-Mobile, by addressing the issue of high monthly internet service costs. The company’s solution comes in the form of Internet Air, a new fixed wireless home internet service that utilizes the 5G broadband cellular network. This service offers consumers a Wi-Fi delivered signal at a highly competitive price of per month – less than the average monthly internet access cost.

AT&T is focused on strategically selecting locations for the availability of Internet Air. The company aims to prioritize areas with sufficient wireless coverage and capacity to ensure an excellent in-home experience while maintaining high-quality wireless service for existing mobile users. Currently, the service is available in cities such as Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Las Vegas, among others.

The setup process for Internet Air is user-friendly, allowing consumers to install the system in just five steps and be up and running within 15 minutes. Customers will scan a QR code included in the package to access simple instructions. The AT&T Smart Home Manager app takes care of most of the setup and helps identify the strongest connection spot in the home, eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones with the assistance of Wi-Fi extenders.

In terms of cost, Internet Air is priced at per month as standard. However, it is also eligible for the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which offers eligible households up to per month (up to per month on qualifying Tribal lands) to reduce broadband service costs.

AT&T is promoting its new service by providing Internet AirTM at a reduced rate of per month for new and existing AT&T Wireless customers in select zip codes with an eligible wireless plan. This introductory offer aims to attract customers and encourage adoption of Internet Air.

In summary, AT&T’s Internet Air brings affordable home internet service to consumers, leveraging the 5G cellular network. The service is easy to set up, offers competitive pricing, and is eligible for cost reductions through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
