The Vietnam Semiconductor Innovation Network was officially launched on October 29 during the Vietnam Semiconductor Summit. This network aims to develop the semiconductor industry in Vietnam and position the country as a reliable partner in the global semiconductor ecosystem. By doing so, it aims to enhance Vietnam’s position in the global value chain and modernize its economy.

Vietnam’s Minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyen Chi Dung, expressed Vietnam’s commitment to actively contribute to the innovation ecosystem of the semiconductor industry worldwide. The country aims to become an important link in the global semiconductor production and supply chain.

Vietnam has laid the foundation for the development of the semiconductor industry by focusing on human resources development. Their goal is to have 50,000 engineers trained for this industry by 2030. The government has also issued various investment incentives for companies and groups interested in investing in the semiconductor sector.

The country has already established the National Innovation Centre (NIC) and three high-tech parks in strategic locations, namely Hoa Lac (Hanoi), Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. These locations offer ready-to-use infrastructure to attract investors in the semiconductor industry.

The establishment of the Vietnam Semiconductor Innovation Network, along with the National Innovation Centre and high-tech parks, is expected to play a crucial role in supporting the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem.

With its favorable conditions and government support, Vietnam is well-positioned to become a major player in the global semiconductor industry and contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth.
