Tata Communications Unveils 5G Roaming Laboratory

Tata Communications saw a 1.96% increase in its shares after announcing the launch of its global cloud-based 5G Roaming Laboratory (Lab). This Lab aims to assist Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) before implementing 5G services. The objective of the lab is to enhance the international mobile roaming experience for users.

The Tata Communications 5G Roaming Lab ensures a high quality of service for mobile phone users when they are roaming by closely monitoring traffic movement and network usage. The lab enables objective performance evaluations across interconnected networks during roaming, including onboarding and internet trials on a reliable 5G standalone network with high speed and low latency.

By providing this platform to MNOs, Tata Communications aims to empower them to make informed decisions about their 5G services before rolling them out to their customers. This will result in an improved user experience and better service quality.

The successful launch of the 5G Roaming Laboratory has had a positive impact on Tata Communications’ shares, which saw a 1.96% increase, reaching Rs 1811 at 12.31 pm on the BSE. This indicates investor confidence in the company’s innovative approach to improving 5G infrastructure and services.

Overall, Tata Communications’ 5G Roaming Laboratory is expected to revolutionize the international mobile roaming experience by providing MNOs with a testing platform for their 5G services, leading to enhanced service quality and ultimately benefiting mobile phone users worldwide.
