Strange Lights Spotted in North Texas Sky are SpaceX’s Starlink Satellites

A line of lights was observed in the western sky around 9:45 PM on Thursday night, leading to confusion among North Texans. Videos and messages were sent to FOX 4 from concerned viewers. However, there is no need to worry as the lights were not caused by unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

The lights were actually from SpaceX’s Starlink satellites passing over North Texas. These satellites have been spotted by several people in the Metroplex over the past few months.

The specific satellites seen on that night are believed to be from Starlink-97, which was launched earlier in the month. Additionally, there is a chance of spotting Starlink-98 in the North Texas skies during the weekend, as they were launched on Wednesday.

The purpose of the Starlink satellites is to provide high-speed broadband internet to areas around the globe where internet access may be limited. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that reliable internet service is available to all.

If you have also witnessed these lights or have any photos or videos, you can reach out to FOX 4 by emailing them at [email protected].
