SpaceX is aiming to launch a Falcon 9 rocket and deploy 22 Starlink internet satellites from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The launch is scheduled for 9:55 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, August 16.
Weather conditions were initially reported to be 20% favorable for launch at the beginning of the launch window, but are expected to improve to 65% by the end. The Falcon 9 rocket will launch towards the southeast and will eventually land on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
If the launch goes ahead as planned, it will be the 42nd launch on the Space Coast this year. For the latest updates, please visit floridatoday.com/launchschedule.
