Moto G54 5G: A New Battery King in the Making

Even though Moto G-series handsets have become repetitive and frequent mid-end product upgrades, the leaked Moto G54 is generating more excitement. This affordable 5G-enabled Android mid-ranger follows in the footsteps of the Moto G53 and has been rendered in higher quality and prettier colors by renowned leaker Evan Blass.

Motorola, known for its battery endurance, surprisingly doesn’t make it to the list of phones with the best battery life in 2023. However, the Moto G54 might change that with its substantial battery capacity. According to FCC certification documents, the Moto G54 has a rated cell capacity of 5,640mAh, which could translate into 6,000mAh for advertising purposes. This sizable battery capacity puts the Moto G54 in competition with Samsung’s Galaxy M34 5G and Galaxy F54 5G.

On the design front, the Moto G54 looks fairly generic, as expected from a budget-friendly phone. However, its glossy back panel shines in a swanky blue shade. The device features a 6.5-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, an improvement over its predecessor, the G53. While most specifications are still unknown, the handset sports two cameras on its back, one of which boasts a respectable 50-megapixel count.

Motorola is also working on a Moto G84 5G model, certified by the FCC, which features a 5,000mAh battery and 33W charging support. The Moto G54, on the other hand, offers up to 20-watt charging speeds and comes with a power adapter in the retail box.

Details regarding the pricing, release date, and availability of the Moto G54 5G are still unknown. Nonetheless, the anticipation for this battery beast continues to grow.
