Koodo Mobile Introduces 5G Access for Customers

Koodo Mobile, a mobile sub-brand of Canada’s Telus, has launched 5G access for its customers. This comes after the recent 5G launches by Telus’ flanker brand Public Mobile in May, Virgin Plus (owned by Bell Canada) in late July, and Freedom Mobile, a challenger mobile network operator. It is expected that Rogers Communications’ main flanker brand, Fido, will also offer a 5G service in the near future.

Currently, Koodo is advertising 5G mobile data with speeds of up to 250Mbps in selected packages for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) or ‘Tab’ device bundle customers. The initial options are priced at CAD65 (USD48.60) with a 30GB data allowance or CAD75 with a 60GB data allowance. For BYOD customers, these monthly prices are discounted to CAD53.70 and CAD63.70 respectively for a 24-month period.

By introducing 5G access, Koodo Mobile aims to provide its customers with faster and more reliable internet connectivity. With speeds of up to 250Mbps, customers can enjoy enhanced download and upload speeds, making activities like streaming and downloading content much quicker and smoother. The availability of larger data allowances also allows customers to consume more data without worrying about exceeding their limits.

As the demand for 5G services continues to grow, it is becoming increasingly important for mobile network operators to offer this advanced technology to their customers. With the introduction of 5G access, Koodo Mobile joins the other flanker brands and challenger operators in providing their customers with the latest telecommunications technology. This move highlights the company’s commitment to delivering better mobile experiences and staying competitive in the market.
