Expansion to Bring High-Speed Internet to Fauquier County

Glo Fiber, in partnership with Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel), has recently announced plans to bring high-speed internet to Warrenton, Virginia. The company has reached an agreement with local officials to deploy state-of-the-art fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband services in the area.

The engineering work for this project is already underway, and construction is expected to commence in early 2024. The construction phase is estimated to last approximately 18 months, with the aim of providing high-speed internet access to the heart of Fauquier County.

Once completed, Fauquier County residents can expect internet speeds of up to 5 Gbps. This expansion will greatly improve connectivity and provide faster internet service to the community. The implementation of FTTH technology ensures reliable and efficient internet connections, meeting the growing demand for high-speed internet in the area.
