Renowned journalist Ronan Farrow has released a new investigative report highlighting Elon Musk’s extensive involvement in various sectors of the U.S. government. Farrow’s report focuses on Musk’s connections with the Department of Defense and his role in the Ukraine/Russia conflict.

Musk, known for his controversial presence on Twitter and recent rocket mishap, has significant business ties with the U.S. Department of Defense through his company SpaceX. SpaceX, being the sole means for manned U.S. space trips, also operates the Starlink satellite internet service. This service has proved essential to the Ukraine frontline.

According to an anonymous Ukrainian soldier interviewed by Farrow, Starlink played a crucial role in the Ukrainian cause. However, when Musk began expressing concerns about the war and upsetting Russia, Starlink access suddenly disappeared during a critical operation. This unexpected failure resulted in a dire situation, with communication becoming non-existent and military units being isolated.

Ukrainian soldiers, on the verge of advancing, found themselves unable to receive vital information. Consequentially, commanders had to physically travel to the battlefield to maintain radio communication, risking their lives in the process. Desperate appeals were made to Musk from Ukrainian expats who had helped fund the Starlink units.

Addressing the issue presented challenges, with the Pentagon attempting to convince SpaceX that discontinuing the service would not end the war. Farrow’s report reveals that Musk had privately spoken with Vladimir Putin, which alarmed Pentagon officials. Musk allegedly claimed to have regular consultations with the Kremlin.

Despite the restrictions placed on Starlink’s use by Ukrainian drones, the service eventually resumed. However, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia persists, with serious consequences for human lives and the region’s stability.
