CelcomDigi Introduces New “Unlimited” 5G Roaming Passes for Postpaid and Prepaid Customers

CelcomDigi has launched new “unlimited” 5G roaming passes for both postpaid and prepaid customers. These passes offer 5G coverage in up to 57 countries while travelling, with the number of countries covered depending on the chosen package.

For those planning longer trips with multiple destinations, there is a 30-day roaming pass priced at RM98. This pass provides coverage in 57 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Travelers on shorter vacations can opt for the seven-day pass, which costs RM58 and offers coverage in 20 selected Asian countries.

Although these passes are marketed as “unlimited,” there is a daily Fair Usage Policy (FUP) cap of 2GB of high-speed internet. Once this limit is reached, users will experience speeds of up to 1Mbps, which CelcomDigi states is sufficient for streaming in standard definition. The daily FUP quota will be refreshed at 11:59 PM throughout the validity period of the pass.

For customers seeking even shorter options, CelcomDigi also offers a three-day roaming pass priced at RM25. This pass includes 2GB of 4G data, as well as 30 minutes of phone calls, and is valid in 23 Asian countries. Additionally, a one-day pass is available for RM38, providing 1GB of data in 130 countries.

These new roaming passes aim to provide customers with convenient and cost-effective options for accessing 5G coverage while traveling.
