Z-Wave Alliance Welcomes Trident IoT in Streamlining RF Development

The Z-Wave Alliance is celebrating the launch of Trident IoT, a technology and engineering company focused on streamlining RF development and reducing time-to-market for manufacturers of connected devices. Trident IoT will offer Z-Wave silicon chips and modules, as well as product design and development services, to Z-Wave Alliance members. Additionally, the company will serve as a US-based Z-Wave device certification laboratory.

Trident IoT aims to provide businesses with seamless integration of Z-Wave Technology into their products. The new partner will contribute to the development of new features and custom applications on Z-Wave Technology by offering direct access to Z-Wave chips and modules, personalized engineering support, and US-based Z-Wave certification.

Trident IoT’s operational Z-Wave certification lab, located in New Jersey, is now fully operational. It is equipped to conduct compliance testing of end products based on Z-Wave Plus and Z-Wave Plus v2 standards and specifications. Several Z-Wave Alliance manufacturer members have already started benefiting from this certification resource, with Trident IoT expecting an influx of new devices for certification.

Mariusz Malkowski, CTO and Founder of Trident IoT, highlighted the value of US-based Z-Wave device certification in facilitating communication between North American manufacturers throughout the certification process. The goal is to help Z-Wave device members innovate and successfully implement new features. Trident IoT aims to make it easier and more efficient for manufacturers to bring their Z-Wave devices, including those with Z-Wave Long Range capabilities, to market.

Trident IoT’s entrance into the industry is a significant milestone for Z-Wave and the broader technology industry. It aligns with the Z-Wave Alliance’s commitment to fostering innovation and expanding the Z-Wave device ecosystem. Trident IoT provides developers with an additional resource to accelerate the journey of their Z-Wave devices to market.

The Z-Wave Alliance encourages industry professionals to participate in the IoT Tech Expo, which offers insights from industry leaders in the field of IoT. The event will be held in Amsterdam, California, and London, co-located with Digital Transformation Week.
