Scanfil Chosen as Manufacturing Partner for ReQuTech RESA Satellite Terminals

ReQuTech, a Swedish satcom product developer and manufacturer, has selected Scanfil as its manufacturing partner for its RESA satellite terminals. The RESA Ku- and Ka-band terminals will enter production later this year and continue into early 2024.

RESA, short for ReQuTech Electronically Scanned Antenna, is a satcom terminal designed for multi-orbit applications, suitable for both on-the-move and on-the-pause scenarios. Scanfil, a Finnish manufacturing and system supply company with global operations, signed a framework agreement with ReQuTech in 2022 for assembly and is now committed to long-term production.

The two companies are aiming to ramp up production and achieve a monthly output of a few hundred terminals by the first quarter of 2025. This strategic production partnership and long-term volume production arrangement are of significant importance for ReQuTech and its partners.

ReQuTech CEO Omid Sotoudeh expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with Scanfil, highlighting the successful collaboration between their engineering and production teams over the past years.

The partnership between ReQuTech and Scanfil signifies an important step in the development and manufacturing of RESA satellite terminals. By working together, the companies aim to meet the growing demands of the satellite communications market, providing reliable and efficient solutions for a range of applications.
