Overcoming Satellite Synchronization and Timing Challenges for High-Speed Internet Access

Digital Locations, Inc. has announced that their CEO, Rich Berliner, recently spoke with Dr. Jian Yao, a scientist at University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) and Adjunct Professor at Colorado State University, about the critical challenges of satellite synchronization, positioning, and timing to provide high-speed Internet access.

Dr. Yao emphasized the importance of synchronization, positioning, and timing for successful satellite to mobile communications. Accurate satellite orbital determination is necessary to predict the path and location of satellites in orbit to ensure the accurate reception of data. Clock synchronization is also crucial to maximize bandwidth utilization.

Dr. Jian Yao has extensive experience in the field of positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) and is currently working on orbits and clocks of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and low-Earth-orbit satellites. He has published numerous papers on topics such as GNSS carrier-phase time transfer and GNSS satellite clock estimation.

Digital Locations, Inc. is developing disruptive technology that will enable high-speed Internet access from satellites directly to smartphones worldwide. Traditional high-speed Internet is currently limited to densely populated areas, leaving the rest of the world without access. The company aims to bridge this gap by utilizing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver high-speed Internet to smartphones without the need for additional equipment.

The technology being developed by Digital Locations, Inc., in collaboration with a research team from Florida International University, will allow for ubiquitous high-speed Internet access, both indoors and outdoors, with no dead zones or reliance on cell towers. This advancement has the potential to provide remote learning, healthcare, government services, telework, and even entertainment platforms like Netflix and Amazon to anyone, regardless of location or economic status.

Digital Locations, Inc. acknowledges the inherent uncertainties and risks associated with forward-looking statements. They emphasize that their actual results and financial condition may differ from the statements mentioned in this press release. The company’s focus remains on developing groundbreaking technology that can revolutionize global Internet access.
