Nokia Launches New Budget Phones with Easy Repair Capability

Nokia has released two new 4G and 5G models of budget smartphones that feature a solid build and come with stock Android 13 out of the box. The Nokia C210 and Nokia G310 are the two phones that have been designed to be easily repairable and also allow users to change the battery when needed.

Nokia has collaborated with iFixit to provide the necessary tools for repairing parts such as the display, battery, and charging port of these phones. This means that users can fix these issues without having to visit a repair store.

The Nokia C210 is priced at 9 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while the Nokia G310 5G is priced at 6 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model. It is hoped that Nokia will make these phones available in other countries as well.

Both phones have been designed using the QuickFix design, which makes repair processes easier. The removable battery feature eliminates the need to replace the entire device or spend a lot of money on repairs. Users can simply purchase a new battery and attach it to the phone. Additionally, the unique design allows for easy replacement of the display and the USB charging port.

In terms of hardware, the Nokia C210 and G310 5G come with Snapdragon 662 and Snapdragon 480+ chipsets. The phones run on stock Android 13 and are expected to receive further software upgrades. They also include a headphone jack, a 50MP primary rear camera on the 5G model, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 20W charging speed.

Nokia’s focus on easy repairability sets these budget phones apart, although they may not offer the most appealing hardware features. The company aims to provide a user-friendly experience by allowing consumers to fix common issues themselves without requiring engineering expertise.
