Marissa Steen, an American player, has taken the lead at the halfway stage of the ISPS Handa World Invitational on the LPGA Tour. Steen scored 1-under 72 during a gusty day, making two bogeys and three birdies. With a total score of 3 under, she currently holds a one-shot lead ahead of Germany’s Esther Henselei, who shot a 71 at Castlerock.

Ryann O’Toole of the United States, Gabriella Cowley of England, Olivia Cowan of Germany, and Kim Metraux of Switzerland are currently tied for third place at 1 under. Maja Stark from Sweden, the women’s title holder from last year, is not participating in this week’s tournament.

In the men’s competition, England’s Dan Brown has a commanding six-shot lead at 11 under after his impressive round of 66.

The ISPS Handa World Invitational is being held at two different golf courses: Galgorm Castle Golf Club and Castlerock Golf Club. During the first two days, each player completes one round at each venue. Once the cut falls after 36 holes, all the remaining action will take place at Galgorm.
