Iowa State Patrol has released a crash report regarding a fatal UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) crash in Clinton County. The crash occurred on Tuesday around 3:04 p.m. at 1113 Second Street in Camanche.

According to the crash report, a 2011 Polaris UTV with a driver and passenger veered off the roadway and collided with a tree for unknown reasons. Both individuals involved in the crash were transported to Mercy Clinton. Sadly, one person succumbed to their injuries, while the other individual sustained injuries.

The names of those involved have not been released pending notification of their family and next of kin. It was noted in the report that seatbelts were not being used at the time of the crash.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Assisting agencies include the Camanche Police Department, Clinton Police Department, Camanche Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department, and Med Force Air Medical.
