Disney Dreamlight Valley Will No Longer Be Free-to-Play

Disney’s highly anticipated game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, will be launching on December 5th, but with a surprising change in pricing. The game, which was initially set to be free-to-play, will now come with a price tag of .99 for the base game. This decision has caught many players off guard since Disney had previously stated that the game would follow a free-to-play model upon its official release.

Disney Dreamlight Valley was first introduced in early access last year, and players were expecting it to be available for free once it officially launched. However, Disney has now announced that it will offer different packages, with the base game priced at .99. In addition to the base game, Disney is also offering a “cozy” edition for .99 and a “gold” edition for .99, both of which include in-game content and currency.

In an official statement, Disney explained that the decision to charge for the game ensures a premium game experience for all players. However, the company reassured players that it will continue to provide free content updates, including new characters, realms, clothing, furniture, and other surprises to enhance the gaming experience.

Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available for various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. The game is currently available in early access for .99.
