“PUNIT SAAT” Satellite to be Launched in March with the Participation of Students in Karnataka

The “Punit Saat” satellite, named after the renowned actor Punith Rajkumar, is set to be launched in Karnataka in March. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Indian Technology Congress Association (ITCA), Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS), and Karnataka Council for Science and Technology (KCST) with the active involvement of students.

According to N.S. Bose Raju, the Minister of Science and Technology, the students have actively contributed to the development of the satellite. They have received training in the satellite manufacturing process. The launch has been initiated under the authorization of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization).

The main aim of the “Punit Saat” satellite is to attract school students towards space exploration. This is part of a project to launch 75 satellites as a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Indian independence. The project has a budget of 190 crore rupees, with a total weight of around 1.90 kilograms.

The participation in this project involves students from 100 schools located in Bangalore. It is a significant step to encourage young minds to engage in the field of space science and technology.
