T-Mobile Provides Support for Customers and Employees in Maui

T-Mobile’s emergency teams are actively working to restore connectivity and provide support to customers and employees in Maui. Over the weekend, they restored sites in Kaanapali and Haleakalā and are continuously evaluating impacted sites. The team has also arrived at the Maui Emergency Operations Center to assist first responders and agencies.

To aid those affected by the situation, T-Mobile has extended concessions for all Maui customers through August 21. Additionally, they have added more organizations to their text-to-give campaigns, allowing customers to make donations by texting specific keywords to a designated number. T-Mobile will also match donations from their employees to the American Red Cross.

T-Mobile’s Emergency Management team has restored connectivity in Kaanapali and Haleakalā by deploying generators and portable satellite solutions. They are expecting additional microwave and satellite equipment to arrive in Maui today, with a focus on providing connectivity to the west coast of Maui.

Furthermore, their Emergency Response Team is working closely with the Maui Emergency Management Agency, police, firefighters, emergency medical services, and other federal agencies to prioritize network needs for first responders and frontline personnel.

In terms of community support, T-Mobile’s Community Support team is in Oahu providing essential supplies such as device charging, portable battery packs, and charging cables for evacuees and emergency response personnel in Maui.

T-Mobile remains committed to helping those affected by the situation and will continue to provide support and resources as needed.
