T-Mobile Launches Go5G Next Plan for Yearly Phone Upgrades

T-Mobile has introduced a new plan called Go5G Next, which allows its customers to upgrade their phones every year at the same price offered to new customers. The goal is to provide more flexibility and freedom to wireless users, eliminating the need for lengthy device contracts.

Under the Go5G Next plan, customers who switch to T-Mobile can receive a free 5G smartphone with a trade-in. However, to be eligible for the upgrade offer, they must have paid off at least half of their current phone’s value before trading it in. T-Mobile estimates that most customers will reach this threshold within a year. Additionally, customers must wait a minimum of six months since their last upgrade, even if they have already paid off half of their phone’s price.

A notable benefit of the Go5G Next plan is that T-Mobile will pay off the remaining balance on a customer’s current phone if they trade it in and meet the necessary requirements. This means that customers can get a new phone even if they still owe money on their old device.

The Go5G Next plans offered by T-Mobile start at .67 per line for three lines with autopay, or 0 for a single line. These plans come with additional perks, such as free Apple TV+ and Netflix subscriptions, as well as 50GB of mobile hotspot data.

Overall, the Go5G Next plan is an attractive option for customers who prefer to upgrade their phones every year. However, it is important to carefully review all the details and terms before signing up for the plan.
