NATIONAL Day and Malaysia Day 2023 Preparations in Putrajaya

The working committee secretary for the National Day and Malaysia Day 2023 celebrations, Mazlan Abd Mutalib, has announced that telecommunication service providers (telcos) have been directed to enhance internet speeds on August 31 in Putrajaya. The goal is to ensure smooth operations for those on duty during the national event.

Mazlan emphasized the importance of good internet access, stating that it is a crucial element for the success of the event. Several telcos are reported to be setting up telecommunication transmitters at Dataran Putrajaya and conducting network access speed tests.

To ensure a seamless experience, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission will be monitoring the situation and working towards ensuring good connectivity on the day.

Mazlan expressed satisfaction with the logistical and technical preparations for the event, indicating that all necessary arrangements have been made.

During the celebrations on August 31, visitors to Dataran Putrajaya can expect various amenities, including free bus services, free parking, 100 mobile toilets, 4,000 tiered seats, and over 100 food and drink stalls.

The theme for this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day is “Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan, Penuhi Harapan” (“Civilized Malaysia: Commitment to Unity, Fulfilling Aspirations”). Additionally, the Malaysia Madani logo has been chosen as the official emblem for the celebrations.

This year marks the fifth time that the National Day celebration is being held in Putrajaya. Previously, the event took place in the city in 2003, 2005, 2018, and 2019.
