Lithium Universe Ltd has announced the appointment of Vincent Fayad and Kurt Laney as joint chief financial officer and company secretary. These appointments aim to enhance the financial and corporate skillset of the company’s team.

Vincent Fayad is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with over 40 years of expertise in corporate finance, international M&A, accounting, and advisory services. He has previously worked with mid-tier accounting firm PKF and has extensive experience in local and international exploration mining.

Kurt Laney is also a Chartered Accountant with a specialization in accounting, taxation, and corporate secretarial services. He has held similar roles in other ASX-listed companies, bringing valuable expertise to Lithium Universe.

The chairman of Lithium Universe, Iggy Tan, expressed his appreciation for the new appointments, highlighting their vast array of experience in the industry. Tan looks forward to working with Fayad and Laney as they contribute to the company’s growth.

These appointments come after the resignation of George Lazarou, the previous company secretary and non-executive director. Lazarou had been with the company for a decade and played a crucial role in its initial listing and subsequent re-listing as Lithium Universe Ltd.

Vincent Fayad’s experience also includes establishing his own firm, Vince Fayad & Associates, where he provides accounting and advisory services within Australia and overseas. He has been involved in advising on various transactions related to the mining and exploration industries.

Kurt Laney, in addition to his role as joint company secretary and CFO of Greenvale Energy, also serves as the joint company secretary of Astute Metals NL and has previously held positions in other companies.

As joint CFO and company secretary, Fayad and Laney will be responsible for communication with the ASX regarding listing rule matters.

These new appointments signify Lithium Universe’s commitment to strengthening its team with professionals who bring extensive experience and expertise in the financial and corporate sector.
