Honor South Africa recently held an event to announce the launch of two new devices as part of the Honor 90 5G series. Both devices will go on sale next month, with pricing for the series starting at R7,999. Along with the new phones, Honor also confirmed the upcoming release of its Watch 4, as well as other devices later this year.

The Honor 90 5G series of smartphones was launched in the Middle East and Africa in July. Honor South Africa had previously confirmed that the devices would be available in the country in September, and they have now followed through with their announcement.

The Honor 90 5G and 90 Lite 5G will be available through networks such as MTN, Telkom, and Vodacom. The company has also revealed bundled offers that will be marketed to local smartphone fans.

The Honor 90 5G will retail for R14,999 and comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As a bonus, it will be bundled with an Honor Watch 4, which is valued at R3,499. On the other hand, the Honor 90 Lite 5G will be priced at R7,999 and has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This device will come with a free pair of Honor CHOICE Earbuds X5.

The Honor 90 5G boasts a massive 200MP primary lens on the rear, with built-in AI functionality and image stabilization for content creation. It also features an AI Vlog Master suite of tools, including Instant Movie, AI Video Recommendation, and AI Noise Reduction.

Honor has introduced the game-changing AI Noise Reduction feature, which removes background noise from videos, ensuring clear human voices without distractions from surrounding sounds.
