Corsair has introduced an innovative desk called the Platform:6 during Gamescom 2023. This desk is designed to cater to both hardcore gamers and creatives, offering adjustable height, ample space, and accessories for customization.

The Platform:6 desk features a motorized adjustable height function, allowing users to switch between sitting and standing positions. While many standing desks offer this feature, what sets the Platform:6 apart is its modular rail system. This system enables users to build a desk that meets their specific requirements, whether they are remote workers or streamers. Corsair will provide an online configurator to choose accessories, with a specialized “Creator Edition” bundle also available.

Details regarding the included features and optional accessories are limited. However, the desk does come with a cable management tray, USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports, and dual monitor arms. Additionally, users can expand the width of the desk by attaching dual extensions on both sides.

Corsair has revealed that optional hanging pegboards will be available for game controllers, headphones, and streaming gear. The desk will also support multi-mount accessories, such as attachments for cameras, microphones, and ring lights, specifically aimed at streamers. The Platform:6 desk offers various storage and extension options, making it suitable for individuals with cluttered workspaces.

Although Corsair’s own accessories might be required to fully utilize the desk’s potential, the modular rail system and top-mounted pegboard suggest compatibility with aftermarket options. Those interested in customization can take advantage of the desk’s 3D printing capabilities.

Pricing details for the Corsair Platform:6 have not been disclosed yet. However, with its extensive features and customization options, it is expected to come at a higher cost. Corsair plans to launch the product in the fourth quarter of 2023, so more information will be available soon.
