Alexa Pano celebrated her birthday in style by winning the ISPS HANDA World Invitational Presented by AVIV Clinics in Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. Pano finished the tournament with a total score of eight-under-par, after rounds of 76-70-69-66. She found herself in a playoff alongside Germany’s Esther Henseleit and England’s Gabriella Cowley.

On the third playoff hole, Pano made the green in two shots and two-putted for a birdie to secure her first title on both the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. Pano, who turned 19 on the day of her victory, had expressed her desire to win the event beforehand.

Pano expressed her disbelief and joy at the achievement, mentioning that it felt surreal to have her father as her caddy. Olivia Cowan, an ambassador for JA Resort, finished in solo fifth place after shooting a final round of 68.

The tournament featured equal prize funds of US.5 million for both the men’s and women’s events. It was tri-sanctioned by the DP World Tour, Ladies European Tour, and LPGA Tour, with players competing on the same courses simultaneously.

In addition to Pano’s victory, Englishman Dan Brown secured his maiden DP World Tour win by leading wire-to-wire and finishing with a five-stroke victory over Alex Fitzpatrick.
