SpaceX to Launch 21 Starlink Satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base

SpaceX is preparing for a late-night launch on Thursday from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The company plans to launch a Falcon 9 rocket at 12:01 a.m., carrying 21 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E. Additional launch windows are available from 12:51 a.m. to 3:23 a.m. Two backup opportunities are also scheduled for Friday, August 18 at 12:30 a.m. and 1:20 a.m.

This mission will mark the 15th flight for the first stage booster involved. The same booster had previously supported missions such as Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Globalstar FM15, ISI EROS C-3, and five Starlink missions. After stage separation, the first stage is expected to land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, positioned in the Pacific Ocean.

Those interested will be able to watch a live webcast of the launch, which will commence approximately five minutes before liftoff.
