North Korea has announced its plan to launch a satellite between August 24 and 31, which will be directed towards the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. The Japanese Coast Guard reported this information on August 22.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has called for the cooperation of relevant Ministries in gathering information about North Korea’s satellite launch. He also emphasized that Japan will work together with South Korea and the United States on this matter, as reported by NHK public television.
This is not the first time North Korea has attempted to launch a satellite. On May 31, a previous satellite launch by North Korea resulted in the satellite crashing into the sea.
